Our licensed acupuncturists are trained in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of a variety of ailments including fertility, pain management, autoimmune disorders, digestive disorders, insomnia, stress management, anxiety, depression and more. They provide a variety of treatment techniques including acupuncture, cupping, guasha, moxibustion therapy and nutritional counseling.

About Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine

Using a meridian mapping system, acupuncture utilizes the harmonious flow of qi, blood and bodily fluids to assist in healing and facilitate proper functioning of organs. Your practitioner will take into account your past health history, pulse and tongue qualities. By inserting fine, disposable needles into specific points along the body’s energetic pathways, or “meridians,” your practitioner will regulate the flow of qi, blood, and bodily fluids. Acupuncture needles are so thin that patients rarely feel them when they are inserted.

Insurance

Although Galter LifeCenter does not accept insurance, we can provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurer. Acupuncture services are covered by many Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Spending Accounts. Check with your insurance provider for details.

Gratuities

Galter LifeCenter has a no-gratuity policy. The best gift you can give is a referral or to come back and see us again

Sanitation and Safety Precautions

Read about the enhanced cleaning procedures and policies being used within our Integrative therapy department below:

1. In an effort to protect the medically based and high-risk populations that we serve, masks are still required to be worn by the client and provider during acupuncture appointments.
   
2. Providers and clients will wash hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering and before leaving the treatment room. Clients are recommended to do the same.
3. Dirty linens will be placed in a separate bin to be laundered after every client.
4. Providers will thoroughly disinfect all surfaces and touch points in the treatment rooms.

Cancellation Policy

Galter LifeCenter has a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel your appointment, contact the Courtesy Desk. Clients who call and cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not show up for an appointment and do not call to cancel will be charged for the full session. These fees are used to pay the provider for their time.
