Nutrition and Aging Workshop
Guest Lecturers Annie Scott, RD, LDN, MPH, and Kelsey Slaughter, MS, RD, will help you learn about nutrition, aging and the specific nutrients that are essential for seniors. Find out how you can incorporate healthier foods in your diet and much more!

Lecture: If You Had a Stroke, What Would You Do?
Katie Lord, MSN, BN, from Endeavor Health, will discuss the unusual ways that strokes present themselves, the common warning signs, when to act and what to do.

Creative Workshop: Book Arts
Join us for an Arts in Health workshop with Dawn! In this 90-minute creative session, you’ll learn how to make an Origami Accordion Book. The workshop will focus on painting covers, simple origami folds, and gluing the folded pages and covers together. You’ll leave with at least one completed book. No experience is needed — just bring your creativity! Optional: You're welcome to bring recycled materials, such as an empty cereal box (for covers) and a narrow, flat ribbon, to tie your book. 

This is a nationwide health and fitness event for older adults, always held the last Wednesday in May during Older Americans Month. 2025 will mark the 32nd anniversary of the program, and more than 120,000 older adults will participate in events with more than 1,200 locations across the country on the same day.
